These blockers provide ultimate protection from vehicles who try to crash the gate, with the specifications and features of the K12 crash rating blocker a vehicle can be stopped completely if driving on 80mph, 90 degrees hit and weight nearly 6 tons.
The road blockers and bollards comes in a crash-tested form that is designed to withstand heavy vehicular impact, such as in a terrorist attack.
These equipments has been tested against a 30 tonne truck traveling at 50mph (USA DOS K54 rating), a 7.5 tonne truck traveling at 50 mph and a 6.8 tonne American truck traveling at 50 mph (USA DOS K12 rating). The blocker brought the vehicles to a complete halt with nil penetration in all instances and therefore conformed to the British Standard PAS 68: 2007 (specification for vehicle security barriers).
It has been tested repeatedly and has been proven to withstand multiple attack situations.
The blocker will withstand road vehicle axle loading up to 20 tonnes, and has an in-house test certificate.
Composition
10mm Steel plate reinforced to evenly distribute any impact giving extremely high strength. Internal crash plate supported by sectional steel mid plates covered with sacrificial front radius plate, incorporating impact absorption bars. Welding in accordance with BS 4872.
